Mumford & Sons op Pinkpop
AMSTERDAM – Na The Cure, Soundgarden en Bruce Springsteen strikt festivalorganisator Jan Smeets ook folkband Mumford & Sons voor Pinkpop. De komst van Heideroosjes wordt vooralsnog ontkend.
Dat je als band nog steeds nieuwe, originele dingen kunt doen in een kleine bezetting en met de geijkte popinstrumenten, bewijst het Engelse Prinzhorn Dance School op hun tweede album Clay Class .

Pop. 1280 – The Horror
Het is nog vroeg in het jaar, maar de kans dat er dit jaar nog een smeriger en agressiever no wave-album wordt gemaakt dan The Horror van Pop. 1280 is vrijwel uitgesloten.
AMSTERDAM – Het tweedaagse popfestival Parkcity Live in Heerlen verwelkomt dit jaar Ilse DeLange en Within Temptation als hoofdacts. Ook Delain, Peter Pan Speedrock en Paul Elstak staan op het affiche.
‘From A Twinkling Star To A Passing Angel’ is het resultaat van een zoektocht door het ABBA archief. Het nummer zal te vinden zijn op de heruitgave van The Visitors , oorspronkelijk uitgebracht in 1981. Eerdere box (re)releases waren enorme successen
